Video tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Ennis House.

Benjamin has woodworking in his genes and has spent most of his life refining his craft. It all started with his grandfather, Harald, who was a Norwegian master craftsman.
Benjamin grew up in Los Angeles where he gained over 18 years of experience in woodworking and construction. Starting out working summers as a young teen with the family construction company, Bigler Construction, he grew up with a solid understanding of building from the ground up. Benjamin pursued his passion of woodworking which led to him spending 3 years leading a crew restoring a Frank Lloyd Wright home called the Ennis House in Los Feliz, CA. He was responsible for much of the woodwork elements of the restoration. With a desire to someday move from the hustle-and-bustle of Los Angeles, Benjamin and his wife, Kim Winston Bigler, dreamed of moving to her home town of Covington, LA. Their dream came true! Benjamin now owns and operates Bigler Woodworks in Historic Downtown Covington. Kim Winston Bigler is the founder of James Samaritan which is a 501c3 nonprofit that provides for the unmet needs of children coming into the foster care system, and helps to transition those aging out of the system. |
